2004
George Bush got re-elected, Psyreviews fled to Australia, they finished a stadium in Athens in time for the Olympics, and England did pretty shit in Euro 2004.
It was also a less-than-entirely-classic year for psytrance. The pearls on the horizon were progressive: who can forget hearing Son Kite's Colours and Freq's Strange Attractors everywhere? If only we knew that these two albums would - to a greater or lesser extent - end up having an effect on parties, dancefloors and ageing dullard DJ's years into the future. Peh.
These reviews are from 2004, where we shifted from giving marks out of five, to marks out of ten. In fact, in 2004 we were giving albums a score of glasses of soy milk -- one being shit, five being brilliant. We also allocated vegan flapjacks based on innovation and general proper-job, how's-your-father trippiness.
What crazy oiks!!!
